Terms of Service

This is written in plain language so you can actually read it. It’s still a legal document — but we tried to make it honest.

What PaperSlip is

PaperSlip is a mobile-first invoicing and customer management tool for solo service professionals — people who work in pools, lawns, homes, and driveways. It lets you send invoices by text, collect card payments, track who owes you, and share your work. That’s it.

Your account

You sign up with your phone number. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure. Don’t share your login with anyone. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@paperslip.app.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to run a business in your jurisdiction to use PaperSlip.

Your data is yours

Everything you put into PaperSlip — your customers, your invoices, your photos, your notes — belongs to you. We don’t claim any ownership over it. We store it on your behalf and let you access it. If you leave, you can take it with you (export available on request). If you delete your account, we delete your data.

Acceptable use

PaperSlip is for legitimate service businesses. You agree not to use it to:

  • Send spam, harass customers, or conduct fraud of any kind.
  • Invoice for services you didn’t provide.
  • Collect personal information from people who haven’t hired you.
  • Use the platform for anything illegal under US or California law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We’ll give you a heads-up whenever possible, but we won’t hesitate to act on fraud or abuse.

Billing — honest pricing, no games

We currently offer a Free tier (no card required, ever) and a Pro tier at $14.99/month. Billing is monthly. You can cancel any time — one tap in the app, no phone call, no retention screen.

  • We will never raise your price without at least 30 days’ notice.
  • We will never add a paid feature to your existing plan without telling you first.
  • If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the billing period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled case by case — email us if you feel you were charged unfairly.

Privacy covenant

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not use it to train AI models. See our full Privacy Policy for everything we collect and why.

Service “as is”

PaperSlip is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it up and reliable, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. Technology breaks sometimes. We are not liable for:

  • Lost revenue if the service is temporarily unavailable.
  • Disputes between you and your customers over invoices or payments.
  • Tax, legal, or accounting advice — PaperSlip is not a licensed professional in those fields.

Our total liability to you in any situation is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes that go to court will be handled in Los Angeles County, California.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we’ll notify you in the app at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. If you disagree, you can close your account before the changes kick in — no penalty.
